WordPress Speed Acceleration

Adds an object cache to a WordPress site, so the results of database queries are held in memory on the server and the same work is not repeated for every visitor. It runs on the hosting itself rather than as a plugin you have to configure, and it is switched on per site.

A caching plugin stores finished pages, which works well for a page that every visitor sees identically. An object cache works underneath that, on the database queries themselves, so it reaches the pages a page cache cannot store - a logged-in customer, a basket, a checkout, a member area, a search result.

WordPress only. It will not share a site with another object cache, so if the site already has object caching switched on through W3 Total Cache or a Redis plugin, that has to be turned off first.
